Field Personnel Orientation -- Week TWO!

ACTS 26:16-18....I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.

We've had another challenging, good week here in Virginia. We continue to learn daily what it means to serve God and Southern Baptists as missionaries. I think the main thing we're learning is that we have a long way to go to prepare for what God has in store for us.

We are preparing to joing the REAP NORTH team in Peru. You can view our website at http://www.reapwsar.org/. We would love for your church to make contact and adopt one of our people groups as your own...to help begin a church planting movement among the unreached of Peru.

We continue to sense the prayers of many and we are thankful for all of you who pray. You can pray specifically for these requests...

**That we would all not miss an opportunity to learn and grow during these weeks.
**Pray that Haylee and Jackson would continue to do well in their new surroundings.
**Pray that we would stay healthy...each day is FULL!

This week we have studied Spiritual Warfare with Dr. Rankin and Biblical Doctrines (Dr. Elliff) and these times have been incredible. We have had meetings about Malaria and other medical things and today Liesa is in meetings for those teaching English as a Second Language...TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY, by the way.

We meet on Sundays with our small group for worship and bible study and then each Sunday Evening we have a different cultural worship experience...this week it's Spanish. We also have our first round of immunizations this week so that should be a blast :-(

Answered prayers...
**We'll have the closing on our house on Monday, Nov 5. A huge thank-you to all who are praying.
**Our Costa Rica visas have been approved...we head to The Spanish Language Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica at the end of December. http://www.thespanishinstitute.com/
**Haylee and Jackson are doing well. They are meeting some friends and are learning much.
